Application

Applications to the CVJ2010 competition may be submitted in 3 different categories.

Online – “canned” category:

Most Beautiful VJ Opus 2010 Audience Award

Applicants may submit ready-made VJ compilations edited to music, maximum length 8 minutes. The pieces need to be uploaded onto the Vimeo video sharing site. Voting takes place online. Filling out the form is a prerequisite of registration!

Only those videos will be accepted, which are uploaded by the applicant between 20 September and 20 October 2010 to the video sharing site defined by the organizers.

The audience will vote about the audience award online, during the festival.

The organizers will check all material for discriminative, pornographic and violent content, in which cases they retain the right to disqualify the submitted video. Teams may enter the online “canned” competition, but the VJ team’s name should be submitted in the application.

VJ Champion 2010 Award applications may be submitted by 16 October 2010 via the online form. Only individual applications are accepted. The live shows of a maximum duration of 10 minutes are delivered before the audience and the jury during the festival. Assessment by the jury is based on scoring. Contestants receiving the highest scores qualify for the second day of the competition. Finals are held on the last day of the festival, whereby the contestant receiving the highest score from the jury will be the winner. VJs working in teams may enter this category individually, but they are required to give the name of their team upon application.

VJ Challenge Champion 2010 Award applications may be submitted by 16 October 2010 via the online form. Individuals and duos can apply in this category. Challenge contestants deliver a duel of a maximum duration of 6 minutes, demonstrating their technical and improvisational skills live before the audience and the jury during the festival. Contestants are assigned into pairs by drawing. This competition is conducted in knockout rounds. Contestants receive the video loops they can use one hour before the show, in the format they require. Finals are held on the last day of the festival.

There is NO preliminary assessment by the jury in live categories; anyone who meets the technical requirements and applies before the deadline is free to participate.

VJs working in teams may enter this category individually, but they are required to give the name of their team upon application.
