Travel

TO HUNGARY

  • there are a number of low-cost airlines operating services to Budapest
  • and from neighbouring countries we are easily accessible by train

FROM THE AIRPORT

if you arrive at Ferihegy 1 Airport

there is a train service running to Nyugati Station right outside the airport

otherwise there is a bus service stopping at both Ferihegy 1 and 2 airports,

taking you to Kőbánya-Kispest station, where (after shooting some pics of the local 70’s style building soaked up in graffiti) you get on the blue metro line (M3), which takes you either to Merlin (at Deák tér station) or near your accommodation.

IF YOU ARE TOO TIRED/HAVE TOO MUCH LUGGAGE TO TAKE PUBLIC TRANSPORT

For a place in the Airport Minibus you usually have to wait a while, if you haven’t arranged it beforehand. Sometimes it may not sound worth waiting.

Best way to go by taxi in general is call one by phone. Yes, however illogical it sounds, the phone tariff is more favourable than getting one by luck on the street. try 6×6 (+36-1-2666 666) or Buda Taxi (+36-1-2333 333)
